J. Miller Studio

From a conversation to a painting that endures.

  1. The inquiry

You tell the studio the subject: sporting and wildlife, a companion, a person or place, or something else entirely. And the story behind it. Reference photos help; they can follow later.

  2. The consultation

Jeff reviews every serious inquiry personally. Size, composition, finish, and timeline are settled in conversation, and you receive a clear proposal. Commissions begin around $1,000.

  3. Deposit, then the easel

A deposit reserves your place; the balance follows your approval of the finished piece. The commission agreement (including how images and film of the work may be used) is reviewed and signed at this step.

  4. The painting, filmed

The work is painted in Jeff's signature semi-impressionist hand, and the whole making is captured for your private creation film.

  5. Delivery

The original arrives; the film arrives with it. What you do with both is entirely yours.

A real hand, all the way through.

No production line, no outsourced steps, no synthetic shortcuts. One artist takes your subject from blank canvas to signature, and the film proves it, stroke by stroke.
